Turkish-made missiles targeted in Homs airstrikes – Israeli source
DAMASCUS, Syria (North Press) – An Israeli security source said on Tuesday that the warehouses and equipment targeted in Monday night’s airstrikes in Syria contained Turkish-made weapons recently transferred to Homs Governorate in central Syria.
According to Saudi-owned Al Arabiya, the source revealed that the site struck in Homs was a warehouse storing Turkish-manufactured missiles and air defense systems.
The source told Al Arabiya, “What the al-Sharaa administration does not grasp through negotiations, it will understand by force,” referring to Syria’s transitional leadership.
He added that Israel remains in contact with Syrian officials regarding security arrangements, while continuing to act militarily in Syria “whenever necessary.”
He also warned that Syria’s fragile internal situation should not be used in ways that threaten Israel’s security.
The source further stressed that Israel is determined to disarm southern Syria, a region it considers vital to its national security.
On Monday, Israeli warplanes carried out airstrikes on several military sites in the countryside of Homs and Latakia.
