Israeli forces kill young man in southern Syria
QUNEITRA, Syria (North Press) – Israeli forces killed on Tuesday morning a young man in the northern countryside of Quneitra, southern Syria, amid a series of raids and arrests in the southern part of the governorate.
A local source told North Press that the Israeli forces shot and killed Rami Ghanem, a resident of the village of Taranja north of Quneitra, while he was near his home.
According to the sou rce, Israeli troops fired shots in the air and launched flares during the incursion, which lasted for about an hour before withdrawing to their positions.
At dawn the same day, an Israeli military force of more than 30 armored vehicles advanced from the Tel al-Ahmar al-Gharbi area toward the town of Suwaisa in southern Quneitra, where they raided homes and arrested a young man identified as Darrar al-Qaryan, the source noted.
These incidents came less than 24 hours after another Israeli incursion into Tel al-Bat in the Beit Jann area, where troops remain deployed.
The Quneitra countryside has witnessed a sharp escalation in recent days, fueling concerns among residents over the possible expansion of Israeli raids and military operations.
