11 government soldiers injured in clashes with HTS in Aleppo

ALEPPO, Syria (North Press) – A military source from the Syrian government forces said on Sunday that 11 soldiers were injured in ongoing clashes with Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS, once known as al-Nusra Front) in the countryside of Aleppo in northwestern Syria.

The source, describing the escalation as “the most intense in months” added that seven militants of the Liwa al-Quds militia, affiliated with the government forces, and four others from the Republican Guard sustained injuries in the clashes.

On Nov. 8, three HTS militants were injured when suicide drones targeted several of their posts in northwestern Syria.

In a separate incident, the military source stated that the government forces engaged in combat with the Islamic State (ISIS) cells early Sunday in multiple locations around al-Sukhnah in Homs countryside, central Syria.

The source added that military and medical supplies were seized from ISIS cells, though no information was provided on casualties from either side.
