Turkish strike in Syria’s Manbij kills young girl, injures family 

MANBIJ, Syria (North Press) – A Turkish strike on Thursday night in the countryside of Manbij in northern Syria killed an 11-year-old girl and injured several family members.

Manbij Military Council, a component of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), reported that Turkish forces and their affiliated armed opposition factions, aka the Syrian National Army (SNA), targeted the village of al-Baniya in northeastern countryside of Manbij.

The targeting resulted in the killing of 11-year-old Farah al-Barho and injured her brothers, 13-year-old Abdul Rahman al-Barho and 8-year-old Samir al-Barho.

The strike also completely destroyed the family’s home.

Since Oct. 23, the Turkish forces and their affiliated SNA factions have reportedly been using heavy weaponry to strike populated villages across Manbij.
