Hospital in Deir ez-Zor resumes services after receiving support
DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – Hajin General Hospital resumed on Saturday the provision of services after a period of suspension due to lack of support in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor in eastern Syria.
Mashari al-Hazum, Director of the Hajin Hospital, told North Press the hospital resumed full operation after being suspended for a while.
He added that they opened five new departments, which will help improve the quality of medical services provided to residents.
Hajin Hospital in the only hospital in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor that offers its medical services in general and the children’s and women’s department in particular, free of charge, in addition to providing medicines and treatment.
Al-Hazum explained the new departments include a general surgery unit, an orthopedic clinic, and an ear, nose, and throat department.
The new expansion also includes a urology clinic and an intensive care and intermediate care unit.
Services will be free for all patients coming from towns and villages in Deir ez-Zor, as well as for newcomers, according to the director.
