Syria deems recommendations of EU Parliament as interference

RAQQA, Syria (North Press) – The Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates deemed on Sunday the recommendations of the European Parliament on Syria as a blatant interference.

The ministry expressed its strong condemnation and absolute rejection of any interference in its internal affairs by any party or under any pretext, describing the recommendations as a blatant and disgraceful interference.

Last week, the European Parliament voted on a set of recommendations concerning Syria, opposing any normalization of relations with the Syrian government.

The Parliament said that Syrians living as refugees and asylum seekers in Europe, Turkey, Lebanon, Jordan, Iraq, and Egypt cannot return to Syria, emphasizing that any return must be voluntary.

The Ministry added that these recommendations are far from reality and reflect a dire political state in Europe.
