Turkey, SNA target Syria’s Manbij with artillery shells

MANBIJ, Syria (North Press) – Turkish forces and the Turkish-backed armed opposition factions, aka the Syrian National Army (SNA), shelled on Tuesday villages in Manbij countryside and the town of Tel Rifaat and some villages surrounding them in the northern countryside of Aleppo, aka Shahba region.

Manbij Military Council said in a statement that the Turkish forces targeted the villages of Sayada, Tokhar, al-Jat, Awn Dadat, Korhyuk, and Qart Weran in the northern and western countryside of Manbij.

The shelling resulted in material damage in the civilians’ properties.

Since early morning, the Turkish artillery has been shelling Tel Rifaat and surrounding villages in Shahba Region.

Local sources told North Press that the shelling targeted the town and the villages of Sheikh Issa, Menagh, and Ain Daqnah.

The area is still witnessing intermittent shelling, according to the source.
