Iranian-backed militia evacuates headquarters in Syria’s Deir ez-Zor
DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – TheIranian-backed militia evacuated on Sunday at night several headquarters in Deir ez-Zor Governorate, eastern Syria, and moved to Homs countryside, central the country, avoiding any potential attacks.
Three U.S. soldiers have been killed and over 25 others have been injured on Sunday in a drone attack on a U.S. base in northeast Jordan.
A military source of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Corps (IRGC) told North Press that that the Iranian militia moved a warehouse and two military headquarters from al-Sinaa neighborhood in Deir ez-Zor to Homs countryside, as well as, two headquarters from the town of Harabesh, east of Deir ez-Zor, to Palmyra in the Syrian Desert.
“The Iranian-backed Liwa Fatemiyoun evacuated five headquarters in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor and moved its militants and their ammunition to Homs, according to the source.
National Defense Forces, affiliated with the Syrian government forces, stationed in the evacuated headquarters, the source added.
