IED blast in Deir ez-Zor injures SDF fighter

DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – A fighter of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) was injured on Monday as a result of the explosion of an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) in Deir ez-Zor Governorate, eastern Syria. 

A military source of the SDF told North Press that unknown gunmen detonated an IED on a military vehicle of the SDF in the town of Abu Hamam, east of Deir ez-Zor. 

The source said the explosion resulted in the injury of a fighter who hospitalized in al-Omar oil field and the damage of the vehicle. 

On Jan. 4,  unknown gunmen attacked SDF posts in the towns of Shuhail, al-Busayrah and al-Kassar, east of Deir ez-Zor. The attack resulted in the injury of two SDF fighters.
