Syria condemns Houthi attacks on civilian, economic sites in Saudi Arabia
QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – Syria’s Foreign Ministry condemned on Tuesday Houthi attacks on civilian and economic sites in Saudi Arabia, which wounded several civilians.
The Houthis targeted several energy-sector facilities and infrastructure in the southern region of the kingdom on Tuesday morning, causing fires at several sites and temporarily halting some operations.
In a statement, the Syrian Foreign Ministry expressed full solidarity with Saudi Arabia and said it supports all measures taken by the kingdom to protect its sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity in accordance with international law and the UN Charter.
The ministry strongly rejected any attack targeting civilians and called for an immediate halt to such actions that threaten regional security and stability.
