Saudi, US high diplomats hold talks in Washington
QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – Saudi Defense Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman and US National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan held talks in Washington on Monday.
They tackled regional and international developments, significantly the conflict in Gaza.
The two officials also affirmed the importance of deterring any expansion of the Israel-Hamas conflict, the White House said.
Prince Khalid stressed the need for a ceasefire in Gaza, protecting civilians, ending forced displacement and allowing the unimpeded delivery of humanitarian aid.
The officials discussed the firm strategic relations between their countries.
Prince Khalid had arrived in Washington earlier on the day on an official visit at the directives of Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
