Turkey deports 130 Syrian refugees

ALEPPO, Syria (North Press) – On Sunday, Turkish authorities deported 130 people from Turkey to areas in Aleppo northern countryside through the Bab al-Salama border crossing near the city of Azaz, northern Syria.

A local source told North Press that “Turkish authorities deported 130 people who were in Turkish detention camps through the Bab al-Salama crossing.”

The source added that the deportation came under the pretext of having incomplete data and not holding a temporary protection card (Kimlik).

After entering through the crossing, the source said, the deported people headed to several places in northern Aleppo.

The source pointed out that the Turkish authorities regularly carry out arrest campaigns against Syrian refugees under flimsy pretexts, and then organize procedures to deport them to Syria.
