SDF hands over Iraqi ISIS fighters to their government
QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – On Sunday, the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) announced that they had handed over a new batch of Iraqi Islamic State (ISIS) fighters and their families to the Iraqi government.
“Our forces… handed over 50 detainees” to their government, the SDF said.
The statement added that these detainees were arrested during the war against ISIS in north and east Syria.
170 family members were transferred from Hawl camp to Iraq “in coordination with the Iraqi government,” the statement said.
