Residents in north Aleppo fear repeated intra-SNA clashes
ALEPPO, Syria (North Press) – Residents of the camps in the Sajjo border region with Turkey, north of Aleppo, demanded on Sunday all military barracks be removed from inside those camps, fearing repeated intra-clashes between the Turkish-backed Syrian National Army (SNA).
A source told North Press that the residents and notables of the camps of Yazi Bagh, Shamrakh, Sajjo and Shamareen, rejected the military presence in the region, stressing that all SNA barracks must be removed.
These demands coincide with frequent clashes in the area between residents of these camps, most of whom belong to SNA factions.
The camps’ notables said in a statement that protests will be organized as a preliminary step should the SNA fail to address their demands.
Many SNA posts strew in the Sajjo border region, most of them are part of the SNA’s Third Legion. Weapons spread in these camps and are used by military personnel and civilians alike, amid the SNA’s indifference to address the situation, according to the source.
