HTS arrests protesters in northern Idlib
IDLIB, Syria (North Press) – On Saturday, Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) raided the village of Harbanush in northern Idlib to arrest some people who had participated in recent demonstrations that demanded the HTS to release detainees and reveal the fate of the missing.
A source from the Police Department of Harbanush told North Press, “The arrests targeted nine young men on charges of incitement against the HTS and breaching civil peace.”
On Friday and Saturday, several anti-HTS protests broke out against HTS’ arbitrary arrests.
The village of Harbanoush witnessed protests demanding HTS to release the village’s detainees, who had previously been arrested after criticizing the HTS on social media.
