HTS records 120 COVID-19 cases in NW Syria last week
IDLIB, Syria (North Press) – Health Institutions affiliated with Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS, formerly al-Nusra Front), announced on Tuesday recording 120 new COVID-19 cases in northwest Syria in the past week.
The positivity rate has raised by 38% in comparison with a week before.
Civil Defense Organization, operating in areas held by Syrian opposition in northwest Syria, declared that 120 cases of COVID-19 were recorded in Idlib Governorate, in the northwest; and the countryside of Aleppo, northern Syria, in the past week.
The infection rate of COVID-19 has been deteriorating in opposition-held areas, since the beginning of 2023, according to North Press.
