Turkish border guards shoot three in Syria’s Idlib
IDLIB, Syria (North Press) – On Tuesday, three people were shot by Turkish border guards in Idlib in western Syria while trying to cross the border into Turkey. This is the third case in March.
A source in the paramedic team told North Press that Hayat Tahrir al-Sham’s (HTS, formerly al-Nusra Front) police reported gunshots near the Turkish border. Ambulances rushed to the scene and found three men shot in multiple parts of their bodies. All three were taken to Harem Hospital.
Another source from HTS’ police station in the town of Azmarin, western Idlib, said that Maha al-Radad, 34, is still missing and is speculated to be kidnapped by Turkish border guards. Her family still awaits to receive information about her.
In mid-February, a man and his wife were shot by Turkish border guards while attempting to cross into Turkey in north Azmarin.
