Four aid planes arrive at Syrian airports
DAMASCUS, Syria (North Press) – On Monday, four aid planes from the UAE and Iran arrived at the Syrian airports of Damascus, Latakia and Aleppo to help people affected by the February 6 earthquake.
State-run SANA news agency said, “Two Emirati planes loaded with aid arrived at the international airports of Damascus and Latakia, carrying food, relief materials, and clothes for those affected by the earthquake.”
In turn, the Aleppo International Airport received a UAE plane carrying 25 tons of aid, and an Iranian plane carrying 20 tons of relief aid, the agency added.
Despite the enormous amount of aid that has reached Syria following the quake, whether into areas held by Syrian government or opposition, many affected residents complain of not receiving any.
