ISIS claims targeting SDF fighters in Syria’s Deir ez-Zor
DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – On Wednesday, Islamic State (ISIS) claimed responsibility for targeting a checkpoint of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), in the north of Deir ez-Zor Governorate, eastern Syria.
The ISIS-run Amaq news agency said, in a statement, that ISIS militants targeted with machineguns the checkpoint near the entrance of the town of Daman, in al-Suwar district, 70 km north of Deir ez-Zor.
The attack claimed the life of one SDF fighter and injured four others, according to the statement.
On February 20, ISIS claimed responsibility for targeting an SDF fighter in a town east of Deir ez-Zor.
