Toll of casualties by region in Syria’s AANES-held areas after earthquake
QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – The 7.7 magnitude earthquake and its aftershocks that rocked Syria and Turkey have led to six deaths and the injury 118 people in North and East Syria.
At least 250 buildings were damaged, which could collapse at any moment, given that aftershocks are still occurring. More than 40 cars were either partially or wholly destroyed.
Qamishli
No considerable damage was recorded in the city of Qamishli. Damage was restricted to cracks in the walls of buildings.

Hasakah
Similarly, only very minor damage to buildings was recorded in the city of Hasakah, such as cracks.
Raqqa
In the city of Raqqa, north Syria, cracks were recorded on a number of buildings. One building collapsed in the al-Kahraba neighborhood.
Manbij
In Manbij, Jumaa al-Saleh, 28, and two children (Anas Khalil, 13, and Alin Ferzat, 8) were injured as a result of the earthquake.
The earthquake also led to the partial collapse of Castle Necmettin, a medieval-era castle by the Euphrates River, as well as damage to a number of houses and cars.

Kobani
Six people were injured in Kobani during the earthquake, including Sultan Abdullah Gal’o, 23; Amina Ibrahim Haj Muslim, 52; Farhad Mahmoud Mustafa, 25; Sultana Abdurrahman Jad’o, 22; and, Berivan Hayati Ali, 25.
In addition, a number of houses and buildings collapsed. The following footage shows part of the damage caused to the city of Kobani

Shahba Region
In Shahba, north of Aleppo, three people, including a child, were injured, including Zahr al-Din Jaber, 60; Dilshan Hamliko, 36; and, Abdo Habib Alo, 4.
Part of the minarets of al-Ghazali Mosques and more than 15 houses collapsed as a result of the earthquake.

Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafiya
In the Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafiya neighborhoods in the city of Aleppo, six people were killed. North Press identified Sandra Ibo, 11; Rawan Ibrahim, 16; and Khalid Hamo, 28, among the victims. More than 45 people were injured in both neighborhoods.
Some buildings, especially balconies, partially collapsed. A number of cracks also appeared on buildings.
