33 ISIS militants arrested in five Iraqi governorates
ERBIL, Iraq (North Press) – Iraqi authorities announced on Saturday detaining 33 militants, including an official, of the Islamic State Organization (ISIS) in five Iraqi governorates.
In a statement, the Iraqi National Security Services said, “The National Security Service carried out a series of successful qualitative operations resulted in the arrest of 32 terrorists.”
The statement added that the detainees include “leading members of ISIS terrorist gangs, who were active in the provinces of Anbar, Nineveh, Kirkuk, Diyala, and Baghdad.”
In addition, the Iraqi Directorate of Military Intelligence announced in a separate statement arresting a woman in charge of ISIS Diwan al-Hisbah (the Morality Police) in the al-Zab district of al-Hawija in southern Kirkuk, by setting up a “well-planned ambush” in the area.
