Turkish Shelling wounds Government soldiers, officers in Aleppo countryside

AFRIN, Syria (North Press) – On Thursday morning, four soldiers of the Syrian government forces, including officers, were injured in a Turkish artillery shelling that targeted the village of Mayasah in Sherawa district in Afrin  north of Aleppo.

A local source told North Press that the Turkish forces stationed in the Scientific Research Center in the village of Nada east of Azaz, shelled Mayasah, leading to the injury of four Syrian soldiers.

Brigadier General, Amar Tabshuri, Lieutenant Colonel, Zakwan, in addition to a company commander and a conscript were injured, the source added.

The source added that the wounded were taken to a medical point near Mayasah for treatment.

Turkish artillery continues to repeatedly and indiscriminately target villages and towns in the northern countryside of Aleppo, causing civilian casualties and material damages.

The Syrian government has not commented on the shelling and targeting of its forces so far.
