Statistic reveals number of Syrians deported from Turkey
IDLIB, Syria (North Press) – Turkish Deputy Minister of Interior, İsmail Çataklı, announced on Saturday that the number of Syrians returning to their country reached 521.039 people in August.
During a monthly press media meeting, Çataklı added that the number of Syrians who have got Temporary Protection Card (Kimlik) in Turkey has reached 3.654.866 people.
Turkish authorities continue to deport hundreds of Syrians to areas held by Turkish-backed armed opposition factions, known as Syrian National Army (SNA), in the northern countryside of Aleppo under offending refuge regulations and non-obtaining the Kimlik that entitles refugees to work.
Turkish security forces arrested 120 illegal migrants of different nationalities in Istanbul, according to the Turkish Anadolu Agency.
In addition, the Turkish authorities raided 12 houses in three neighborhoods between August 31 and September 2, Anadolu Agency added.
The raids resulted in arresting 42 Moroccans, 70 Syrians, 4 Afghans, 3 Algerians, and a Pakistani.
The Turkish authorities imposed fines on six of the owners of the houses in which those who were arrested reside, according to the agency.
On August 31, Turkish authorities deported 100 Syrians to areas in Aleppo’s countryside, through Bab al-Salameh border crossing, near the city of Azaz, north of Aleppo Governorate.
