Government, Russia check site hit by Turkey in Syria’s Kobani

KOBANI, Syria (North Press) – Syrian government and Russian troops checked on Wednesday posts of the government forces that were hit by Turkish airstrikes west of the city of kobani, northern Syria. 

On Augustus 16, Turkish aircrafts targeted, with more than nine airstrikes, a post of the government forces on Syrian-Turkish border, killing and wounding many.

A military source told North Press that two vehicles of the Syrian government and five others of the Russian troops, accompanied by Kobani Military Council, reconnoitered the targeted military post.

The government forces along with Russian troops deploy south of Kobani on border with Turkey.

The city of Kobani and its countryside are subjected to shelling by the Turkish forces, claiming lives of civilians, including women and children.
