Armed attack claims lives of 11 government soldiers in Syria’s Raqqa
RAQQA, Syria (North Press) – Eleven soldiers of the Syrian government forces and two civilians were killed on Monday and three other soldiers were wounded in an armed attack targeted a civilian bus, picking them on Raqqa-Homs route.
The bus, which was subjected to the armed attack, was travelling on Raqqa-Homs route in al-Jira area, State News Agency SANA said.
As a result, eleven government soldiers and two civilians were killed and three other soldiers were wounded who were on the civilian bus, according to SANA.
Areas south of Raqqa as well as Syrian Badia that are under the control of the government forces witness notable activities by the Islamic State Organization (ISIS) sleeper cells.
