QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – Four people were killed and others were wounded on Sunday in a smuggling attempt from Syria to Jordan.
The Jordan News Agency Petra reported that the smugglers were trying to illegally enter Jordanian soil.
“The smugglers left behind 637 captagon pills, 181 palm-sized hashish sheets, 396,000 tramadol pills, and an AK-47,” the news agency said.
On Saturday, the Jordanian army thwarted an attempt to smuggle drugs from Syria.
The Jordan News Agency Petra added that the smugglers were backed by armed groups.
