Two SDF members wounded in IED blast in Syria’s Deir ez-Zor
DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – Two members of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) were wounded on Sunday in IED blast in Deir ez-Zor, east Syria.
A military source in the SDF told North Press that an IED, which was planted on the side of the highway of the town of al-Sajir, north of Deir ez-Zor, blasted against an SDF military vehicle carrying logistics.
According to the source, the two members were hit by shrapnel in different parts of their bodies, and their vehicle was damaged, the source added.
They were transported to al-Omar Field Hospital for treatment, and they are in good condition, according to what a medical source in the hospital told North Press.
The countryside of Deir ez-Zor has recently witnessed the increase in cases of killing of the SDF members, employees of the Autonomous Administration, tribal prominent figures and civilians.
Two days ago, a member of the SDF lost his life and another one was wounded by unidentified gunmen in the town of al-Shuhail, east Deir ez-Zor.
