A cell collecting taxes for ISIS captured in Iraq
ERBIL, Iraq (North Press) – Iraqi National Security apparatus captured on Saturday, a cell which was collecting royalties for the Islamic State Organization (ISIS) in Nineveh governorate, western Iraq.
The Security stated that its detachment in west of the governorate staged well planned ambush to catch a cell of 4 members.
Those ISIS members were imposing royalties on people for ISIS and its operations, according to the statement.
“The cell members confessed of threatening and terrifying many citizens and enforced them to pay royalties,” the National Security added.
Several areas in Iraq witness a grow of ISIS attacks, the last of which was past week where it targeted Diyala governorate and killed 11 soldiers of the Iraqi Army.
The Iraqi forces launch combing operations to catch ISIS sleeper cells every now and then.
