Turkish gendarmeries hit young men in Syria’s Hasakah countryside
DERBASIYAH, Syria (North Press) – Two young men were hit, yesterday, via sharp tools by Turkish border guards (Gendarmeries) while trying to pass into Turkish territory near the city of Derbasiyah, north of Hasakah, northeast Syria.
The two young men, the 36-year-old Roudi Sali and 37-year-old Riyad Baslo arrived in Martyr Khabat Hospital in Derbasiyah, yesterday evening, with critical health condition and beating signs on their bodies.
The two young men were brutally hit via batons, sticks and sharp tools by the Turkish gendarmeries while they were trying to cross the border in addition to seizing the money they bore, a source told North Press.
The young men had bruises and their bodies bore torture signs. The hospital provided first aid services to them including necessary check-ups in order to know their health condition well, Dr. Thamer al-Kikani, director of Martyr Khabat Hospital, told North Press.
On January 10, the Turkish gendarmeries brutally hit a young man from Amuda while trying to cross the border near Derbasiyah city.
In October, 2021, Turkish border guards threw the body of a Syrian child on the border in front of the village in the countryside of Hasakah, the body bore signs of physical torture and he was killed by Turkish gendarmeries, according to Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.
