ERBIL, KRG, Iraq (North Press)- The Saudi Arabian-led intervention announced , on Sunday, the destruction of four stores of drones and launchers in a military camp in Houthis-led Sana’a in Yemen.
The Saudi Arabian-led intervention launched airstrikes against military targets in Sana’a, described as “legal” under the slogan of “threat countering,” according to a statement.
The operation conforms to international law and preventive action have been taken to avoid civilian’s harm, the Arab Coalition stressed.
On Saturday, The Arab Coalition intercepted and destroyed three drones were launched by the Houthis targeting south Saudi Arabia.
Last week, The Arab military coalition led by Riyadh announced a broad-scale military operation in Yemen, after reporting a casualty and seven wounded in an attack by the Houthis on southern Saudi Arabia.
Since 2014, Yemen has been witnessing a civilian war between the Saudi-led military coalition government and the Houthis who runs much of the northern part of the country.
Thousands of people have been killed and more than 80% of Yemen population, which is about 30 million, need international relief assistance due to this crisis that the US describes as the worst humanitarian crisis in the world.
