Syria’s Manbij Military Council foils infiltration attempt by Turkish-backed factions

MANBIJ, Syria (North Press) – On Monday, the Manbij Military Council, affiliated with the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), foiled an infiltration attempt by the Turkish-backed armed opposition factions in northwest of Manbij, northern Syria.

A number of militants of the armed factions tried to infiltrate the points of the Manbij Military Council near the village of al-Muhsinli, northwest of the city of Manbij, a military source told North Press.   

“The infiltration coincided with shelling and exchange of firing between the factions and the forces of the Manbij Military Council in the vicinity of the villages of Umm Adasa and al-Yashli, northwest of Manbij, to cover the infiltration,” the source added.

The source noted to a number of casualties within the ranks of the factions, without mentioning any other information.

Yesterday, the Turkish forces and their affiliated factions bombed the villages of al-Muhsinli, Arab Hassan and al-Yalanli, northwest of Manbij.
