Turkey, opposition continue bombing Syria’s Hasakah countryside
TEL TAMR, Syria (North Press) – The Turkish forces and the affiliated opposition factions are continuing to bomb the northern countryside of Hasakah, northeast Syria.
North Press reported an informed military source of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) as saying the Turkish forces re-bombed of the center of Abu Rasin town and its surroundings, north of Hasakah with heavy weapons.
The bombing caused the destruction of civilians’ houses and possessions in the town and its countryside, amid a wave of displacement from the countryside towards the town and its eastern and southern countryside.
The sound of the bombing is still sporadically heard in the area.
The Assyrian village of Tel-Shnan, east of Tel-Tamr, was also bombed by the Turkish forces.
The Turkish shelling comes hours after bombing the villages of Umm Harmala, Dada Abdal, Tel al-Ward, Khadrawi, Rabi’at and Banja in the countryside of Abu Rasin, north of Hasakah, as well as the village of Umm al-Keif, north of Tel-Tamr, with mortars and artillery shells.
Earlier this evening, a man and woman were injured in the Turkish bombing of the villages of Dada Abdal and Tel al-Ward. They were hospitalized in the area for treatment.
