Man killed by unknown gunmen in Syria’s Deir ez-Zor
DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – A civilian was killed on Tuesday by unidentified gunmen in a town in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor, eastern Syria.
Unknown gunmen riding a motorcycle deadly shot the 26-year-old Wasim al-Hawija, in the downtown, North Press reported a local source from Thiban town, 50 km east of Deir ez-Zor.
The gunmen used a silencer to kill the young man, and they were wearing Arab traditional dresses before they fled, the source added.
The killed man was a civilian and came from the town of Thiban and did not belong to any political party or military faction.
Recently, the countryside of Deir ez-Zor has been witnessing killing of SDF members, employees of the Autonomous Administration, tribal figures, and civilians.
Earlier today, the SDF and the Global Coalition forces arrested three wanted people on charges of belonging to ISIS in the town of Shuhail, east of Deir ez-Zor.
