QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – Projects for the 2022 year will focus on maintaining stability, improving services and economic situations in the region, Loqman Ahmi, official spokesman for the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES) said On Sunday.
“The Autonomous Administration plan is to focus on vital infrastructure construction projects like roads, water and sewage, in addition to establishing mills and bakeries and maintaining them,” Ahmi said.
A top official of the AANES, Amina Ossi, said the investment budget for 2022 is $80 million, 70% of which will be allocated for the autonomous and civil administrations, and 30% for the AANES.
The AANES is scheduled to approve the 2022 budget this month to start implementing the projects in January 2022, according to the official website of the AANES.
“The largest section of the proposed budget will be allocated to provide subsidized bread and fuel for the citizens and the maintenance of power lines,” Ahmi told North Press.
The budget for 2021 was 498,772,350,000 SYP.
