QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – Three people were injured, including two teenagers who sustained serious injuries, after a man armed with a sword entered a high school in Fagersta, central Sweden, on Friday, Swedish authorities said.
The man entered Brinellskolan shortly after 2 p.m. local time and injured several people, according to Fagersta Municipality. A suspect was arrested following the attack.
Region Västmanland said at least two people were seriously injured. Swedish public broadcaster SVT reported that the two victims were boys under the age of 18, while a third person sustained minor injuries. (SVT Nyheter)
Police said they received an alert at around 2:06 p.m. about ongoing deadly violence at the school and deployed a large number of officers to the scene. Authorities later said there was no longer any threat to the public. (Reuters)
