The designated center, opened in the police station in the middle of Daraa city, closed down after dozens of wanted people settled the status of, local sources said.

On October 26, the Syrian security forces set up a permanent settlement process center in the middle of Daraa city for those wanted people who were not able to settle their status in their own hometowns or villages.

Apart from this permanent center, 23 others had been opened by government forces in the governorate where hundreds of people settled their status.

Around 14,000 wanted people along with thousands of military dissenters settled their status and hundreds of weapons were handed over to the government forces.

Additionally, sums of money of the suspected missing weapons were also given to the security forces, according to other sources.

The Russian-brokered settlement process in Daraa took away power from government forces and allowed Russia to control territories in Syria’s south border adjacent to Israel, according to war monitors.
