Despite settlement, government forces members injured in Syria’s Daraa

DARAA, Syria (North Press) – On Monday, an officer and four members of the government forces were injured, when an IED targeted their military vehicle near the town of Umm al-Mayathen, east of Daraa, southern Syria.

The car belonged to the engineering units of the government forces, and was heading towards the Nasib border crossing, where it was targeted by an IED buried next to the road by unknown persons, a source in the town told North Press.

Ambulances immediately went to the targeted area, and the injured were admitted to Daraa National Hospital. Two of the injured people were transferred to hospitals in the capital, Damascus, as a result of their severe injuries, the source added.

Two days ago, the town of Umm al-Mayathen struck a settlement agreement with the government through the officers of the security committee of the government and the town’s notables.
