Syria’s northeast records 64 new coronavirus cases
QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – On Thursday, the Health Board of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES) announced the recording of 64 new cases of coronavirus in the regions of northeast Syria.
The infections were 21 in Qamishli, 12 in Hasakah, eight in Derik, six each of Raqqa and Rimelan, three each in Tabqa and Deir ez-Zor, two in Kobani, and one each in Tel Kochar, Derbasiya, and Girke Lege.
The Health Board also recorded four recoveries.
With the new infections, the number of coronavirus cases in northeast Syria has risen to 19,231, including 770 deaths and 1,920 recoveries.
On Wednesday, AANES-held areas recorded 39 new infections with coronavirus, including two deaths and four recoveries.
