Turkey shells villages in Syria’s Hasakah countryside
TEL TAMR, Syria (North Press) – On Friday, Turkish forces and Turkish-backed armed factions shelled two villages in the countryside of Hasakah, northeast Syria.
“The Turkish army targeted both the villages of al-Dardara, north of Tel Tamr and Abu al-Ward near the village of Abu Rasin with artillery shells and mortars,” a source of Tel Tamr Military Council said.
“No human casualties were recorded, but the shelling forced families to leave their houses and flee towards the town of Tel Tamr,” the source added.
The successive Turkish shelling of al-Dardara village left material losses to the property of the villagers.
On August 4, the Turkish forces targeted the countryside of Tel Tamr, wounding an elderly woman from the village of Umm al-Kaif, and another from the village of Tel al-Ward in the countryside of Abu Rasin.
