Government forces bomb opposition in Syria’s Hama, Idlib
IDLIB, Syria (North Press) – On Saturday, the Syrian government forces targeted the positions of the opposition factions in separate areas of the countryside of Idlib, Hama and Aleppo, northwest Syria, through missiles and artillery shelling.
Military sources of the opposition told North Press that the government forces bombed the factions’ positions on the western outskirts of Idlib and the towns of Benin and Kansafra in Zawiya Mountain area in the southern countryside of Idlib, with heavy artillery shells.
The sources added that a government shelling with mortars and rocket launchers from the its positions in the Jurin camp targeted opposition factions’ sites in the towns of al-Ankawi, Qeleidin and Tal Wasit the Ghab Plain area, west of Hama.
The bombing coincided with intense flight of Russian warplanes and deones over Idlib and the countryside of Hama and Latakia, without recording any air strike.
In Aleppo, the government forces renewed their bombardment of opposition factions’ sites on the western countryside of Aleppo, targeting the village of Kafr Nouran, according to the same sources.
Yesterday, the government forces bombed the villages and towns of Josef, al-Sahn, Hmeimat and Benin, south of Idlib, and the town of Qeleidin in Hama western countryside, with rockets and heavy artillery shells.
