HASAKAH, Syria (North Press) – On Friday at dawn, the Internal Security Forces (Asayish) found the body of an Iraqi refugee in Hawl Camp, east of Hasakah, northeast Syria.
The Iraqi refugee was killed by an unknown individual.
A security source from the camp told North Press that after being informed by a person, they found the body of 42-year-old Iraqi refugee Farhan Mahmoud Bakr in the first sector of the camp.
“Bakr was killed by gunshots to the head, by an unknown individual,” according to the source.
Hawl camp includes more than 16,000 families, consisting of about 60,000 people from about 50 nationalities.
The camp has recorded more than 23 killings of Syrians and Iraqis since mid-April.
On July 23, the Asayish found the body of two Iraqi refugees who had been killed in two separate incidents by unknown persons in the camp.
On July 14, the body of another Iraqi refugee was found, killed by unknown persons, believed to be of the ISIS sleeper cells.
