Syrian politician: Ain Issa massacre “nothing new for Turkey”

RAQQA, Syria (North Syria) – A Syrian politician said on Thursday that the Ain Issa massacre, which killed four and wounded two on Wednesday is “nothing new” for Turkish practices in Syria.

Four people from one family were killed and two others were wounded due to the Turkish forces and affiliated opposition factions’ shelling on the countryside of Ain Issa.

Yahya Mahmoud, Secretary of the Raqqa branch of the Syrian National Democratic Alliance Party, said that the targeting of civilians since the first day of the direct Turkish military intervention in Syria has revealed the true face of this intervention and its nature and objectives.

Turkey is an occupying country and is practicing the agendas of occupiers and killers, and it did not come to rebuild or create a sound future for the Syrian people, Mahmoud added to North Press.

He called on the international community to intervene and stop ignoring Turkish practices in northern Syria.

He pointed out that this “suspicious silence” of the world powers towards Turkey’s actions proves the intentions of these powers who agree to continue the series of bloodbaths that affect Syrians.

Since the first day of its military intervention in Syria, Turkey and its affiliated factions have practiced the most heinous crimes and murders, starting from the Afrin region and then the cities of Tel Abyad and Ras al-Ain (Sere Kaniye), he added.

On Wednesday, the Council of Tel Abyad of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES) denounced the crime affecting unarmed civilians in the town of Ain Issa.
