Success rate of junior certificate students in Syria’s AANES reaches 75%
QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – On Thursday, the Education Board of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES) announced the results of the junior certificate (preparatory school) exams in the Jazira region, according to an education system based on the mother tongue.
In June, 7,000 students in Hasakah and Qamishli and their affiliated towns and villages took the exams, which included courses prepared by the Autonomous Administration in both Kurdish and Arabic.
“The success rate was 75%,” said Rohat Khalil, the co-chair of the Education Board in the Jazira region.
She added that 20 students scored 99% of the grades.
in mid-July, the Education Board in the Jezira region announced the results of high school (baccalaureate) with a success rate of 63%.
For the first time, the results of the baccalaureate this year were based on general exams alone, while the results of the junior certificate issued today, came from the sum of assessments and exams during work hours with the results of the end-of-year exams.
