7 government soldiers killed in Syria’s Daraa

DARAA, Syria (North Press) – Seven members of the Syrian government forces were killed on Thursday when unidentified gunmen targeted their military vehicle on the road between the town of Bosra al-Harir and Suwayda in the eastern countryside of Daraa.

Unidentified gunmen targeted a military vehicle which was transporting government forces on the road between the town of Busra al-Harir and Suwayda in the eastern countryside of Daraa, east of the city of Izra, killing seven members, private sources told North Press.

Government forces in the 12th Brigade, stationed east of the city of Izra, bombed the towns of Maliha al-Atash, Bosra al-Harir, and Nahtah with heavy artillery, according to the sources.

The source pointed out that the government forces sent large reinforcements to the town of Bosra al-Harir and the checkpoints surrounding it.

A number of families in the town of Nahtah have fled the town for fear of a potential government operation in response to the killing of its members, local sources told North Press.
