Civilian wounded in Syria’s Deir ez-Zor countryside
DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – On Thursday, unidentified armed individuals fired at a civilian, wounding him, in the town of al-Busirah, 35 kilometers east of Deir ez-Zor, east Syria.
Armed individuals riding a motorbike fired at Bashar al-Abbas while he was in front of his house near a mosque in the town, wounding him in the chest and the leg, a local military source in the town said.
Al-Abbas was transferred to a hospital in the town for treatment and according to a doctor, and his situation is critical, the source added.
Recently, east Deir ez-Zor countryside has been witnessing increasing assassinations against Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), Autonomous Administration employees, tribal heads, and civilian residents.
Two days ago, both the Islamic State (ISIS) and Syrian government forces claimed responsibility for assassination of an SDF member in the town of Abu Hamam, east Deir ez-Zor.
On Thursday, unknown armed individuals stormed a house and killed two women and wounded a man and two children in the town of al-Busirah, east Deir ez-Zor with no party claiming responsibility for it so far.
