Art show for children presented in Syria’s Raqqa

RAQQA, Syria (North Press) – On Wednesday, the theater of Raqqa Center for Culture and Arts witnessed an art show for children under the title “Bakra Ahla” (tomorrow is better).

The show included several activities presented by children, including the injured, those who have limbs missed and those with special needs.

The children performed dances, theatrical and lyrical performances through which they sent messages to remind the world with their rights and “the need to end the suffering experienced by the children of Syria.”

The goal of the show was to shed light on the difficult conditions the children live in, said Amira al-Hassan, co-chair of the Child Protection Office in Raqqa.

She added that the art show allowed the children with special needs to present their talents to the audience, and to prove that they were also able to effectively participate in society.

Al-Hassan indicated that the Child Protection Office will work during the coming period to intensify its efforts to eliminate the negative aspects that the children suffer from, especially child labor.
