Syrian government shelling leaves casualties in in Idlib
IDLIB, Syria (North Press) – On Monday, a civilian was killed and others were wounded in a bombing by government forces that targeted the opposition factions’ sites in the de-escalation zone south of Idlib, northwest Syria.
The Syrian government forces bombed the fortifications of the opposition factions on the axes of the villages and towns of Ibleen, Kansafra, al-Bara, Balion, Maarata, and Deir Sunbul, south of Idlib, with artillery shells and rocket launchers, military sources in the opposition told North Press.
The government bombing resulted in the killing of a civilian, and the injury of others of varying severity, in the town of Deir Sunbul in the southern countryside of Idlib, it added.
This morning, a resident of the nearby town of Kansafra was killed in the town of Balion, south of Idlib, and others were wounded, as a result of artillery shelling carried out by the Syrian government on the town.
In turn, Fateh al-Mubin Operations Room, which includes Hayat Tahrir al-Sham and the Army of Glory along with the National Front for Liberation affiliated with the Syrian National Army, bombed military gatherings of the Syrian government forces in the city of Saraqeb and the towns of Dadikh and Jubas, located in the eastern Idlib countryside.
The forces of the Syrian regime and the opposition factions continue to violate the ceasefire agreement signed between Russia and Turkey on March 5, 2020, in the de-escalation zone in northwest of Syria.
