Syrian government forces and opposition exchange shelling in Idlib
IDLIB, Syria (North press) – On Sunday, government forces bombed opposition factions’ sites in the Zawiya Mountain area in the southern countryside of Idlib.
The government forces bombed the fortifications of the opposition factions in the towns of Benin, Balshon, Ihsem, al-Fatirah, Mashoun, located in Zawiya Mountain area south of Idlib with artillery shells, military sources in the opposition told North Press that
Two civilians were killed, and others were wounded to varying degrees, due to the bombing of the town of Mashoun, the source added.
In turn, Fateh al-Mubin Operations Room, which includes Hayat Tahrir al-Sham and the Army of Glory in addition to the National Front for Liberation which is affiliated with the Syriam National Army, bombed gatherings of government forces in Goren Camp in the western Hama.
Both the government forces and the opposition factions continue to violate the ceasefire agreement signed by Russia and Turkey on March 5, 2020, within the de-escalation zone in northwest of Syria.
