US, Russia patrol in Syria’s Derik
DERIK, Syria (North Press) – On Saturday, the Russian military police conducted a military patrol in the countryside of Derik, far northeast Syria, in coincidence with another American patrol in the same region.
Local sources from the village of Ain Diwar, north Derik, said that a Russian patrol arrived in the village on Saturday afternoon.
The patrol consisted of two armored vehicles covered by two helicopters.
In the context, the US troops conducted a military patrol in the north of Derik, passing through the village of Ain Diwar and arriving in the village of Jam Sharaf.
The patrol consisted of four armored vehicles covered by two helicopters. The patrol stopped in Jam Sharaf village and met with the residents.
Last week, the US forces conducted two patrols in the southern and western countryside of Derik, while a patrol was conducted by the Russian forces in the northern and western countryside of Derik.
