Syria’s Autonomous Administration to develop new economic laws
RAQQA, Syria (North Press) – An official of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES) revealed preparations to issue new economic laws during the upcoming period in northeast Syria.
The official of the AANES Legal Affairs Office, Mahir al-Tamran, told North Press that the coming period will witness the adoption of laws for investment, companies, consumer protection, trade, amendments of the customs law and others regarding child protection.
“The AANES has made the first steps regarding this issue, which has become an urgent need to organize the rights and duties among the citizens themselves and among the citizens and foundations in northeast Syria,” he added.
Previously, the AANES has issued 11 laws, including the laws of tax, media, laborers, monuments and contracts.
Al-Tamran considered defining the legal references of the law to be important in the work of the AANES which relies on the laws of the Syrian State formulated in 1949 and the laws of regional countries in the Middle East in addition to two basic articles related to the spirit of society, its characteristics, values, designations and human rights culture that recognizes the values of equality, justice and dignity.
